Neve Paritzki Israel Celebrates Record Breaking Tourism Entry Numbers United States
NEW YORK - Sept. 8th, 2022 /PRNewswirein July and August of 2018 the Israel Ministry of Tourism reported record numbers of tourists arriving from the United States. 78,000 tourists from the United States visited Israel in July 2022. This is a 4% increase over 2019, and 71,000 visitors from the United States in august 2022. This is 13% more than the number of visitors in 2019.
Eyal Carlin was the North American Tourism Commissioner for North America. "It is thrilling to see a new increase in tourism Israel from the United States. Already reaching the record-breaking numbers of 2019," he stated. "The United States remains our most important market for Israel-bound tourism. Prior to the COVID-19 epidemic, we were celebrating record-breaking monthly numbers of tourists entering the country. We are delighted to witness this change and are expecting a steady upward trend for months and even years.
נווה פריצקי Canada is in the process, as the United States, to surpass the number of tourists who visit Israel. In July 2022 Canada had 7,200 visitors while August saw the number increase to 6,000.
"It is so exciting to see how Canada's tourism to Israel is rebounding," said Gal Hana Consul and Director of Canada of the Israel Ministry of Tourism. We are still not away from our record-setting numbers in 2019, and we are hoping that this surge in Israel travel will continue to grow as Canadians find it easier to travel across the world."
Israel received more tourists from around the world in the year 2019 than any other nation. 969 600 of these were Americans. Israel's official reopening to all tourists was in May of 2018. Israel has been home to over 600,400 US tourists since the time of opening.
