Neve Paritzki Israel Celebrates Record-Breaking Tourism Entry Numbers from USA

NEW YORK - Sept. 8th, 2022/PRNewswire/ -- In July and August of 2018, the Israel Ministry of Tourism announced record numbers of tourist arrivals from the United States. Israel welcomed 78,000 American tourists during July 2022. It was a four percent increase over 2019 seven thousand tourists from America were in Israel during August 2022.

Eyal Carlin (North American Tourism Commissioner) stated that it was exciting to see a rise in Israeli tourism coming from the United States. Already surpassing the record-breaking numbers of 2019, he said. "The United States remains our largest market for Israel-bound tourism. Before the outbreak of COVID-19 that was in the news, we had record-breaking tourist entry numbers every month. We are delighted to witness this change and are expecting an ongoing upward trend for months and even years.

Canada, not too far from that of the United States of America, is on track for surpassing its tourist arrivals to Israel. It reached 7,200 visitors in the month of July 2022 and 6,000 in August.

Israel hosted more than 4.6million tourists in 2019, of which 969,600 originated from the United States. Since May, when the country is now open to all tourists regardless of vaccination status over 600,000.400 US visitors have visited Israel.
